Triton Marine routinely puts ships through independent safety checks and surveys ahead of commercial or regulatory inspections or as required for purchasing, damage control, and other concerns.
We assist ship owners and operators with vessels calling around the globe by assisting with vetting inspections and USCG and Class Inspections. For the experts trusted by U.S. authorities, get your inspections and surveys attended by Triton Marine’s team of Masters and Chief Engineers. We provide:
Triton performs Pre-Charter and Pre-Purchase Surveys, as well as Condition, Damage, Cargo, On-Off Hire and Loss Control surveys. The documents generated by us are recognized as authoritative, complete and critical to decisions regarding financing, ownership, and potential length of vessel service estimates, cargo loss liability, repair estimates and more. Triton Marine helps you to protect your interests.
Triton provides vessel audits, directly for owners/operators according to the OCIMF Inspection Guidelines, SIRE or CDI standards. Each audit report includes items that would negatively impact an oil company vetting inspection, and provides recommendations for correction. To further facilitate a successful oil company vetting, Triton serves as an effective interface with the Oil Company Vetting Inspector during the actual inspection.
As part of this inspection we instruct the officers and crew on how to best respond to vetting inspectors and best meet the requirements.
Triton has found that it is most effective for our personnel to be aboard the vessel between ports, this allows more time for a complete and thorough inspection of all areas, instruction to the vessel’s personnel as to SIRE, OCIMF, ISGOTT and other industry standards as well as company policies and practices. It also allows time for our representative to ensure issues are properly corrected.
Triton will also perform these services on bulk carriers having to meet the “RightShip” vetting requirements.
Vessel personnel are often extremely busy in port and have been working long hours during transit between ports leaving limited time to dedicate to the vetting inspection and inspector. Triton Marine can assist, alleviating some of the time constraints placed on the officers.
Our personal experience with vetting inspectors helps ensure that the vetting process goes smoothly. Triton’s clients recognize and benefit from our high success rate.
We work closely with your vessel’s personnel, company personnel, and vetting inspectors to limit the number and severity of observations, making recommendations based on years of experience aboard many client vessels. We provide comments on each observation and suggest appropriate actions and responses.
